Mastering is needed

You have a neat idea going on with your flutter crashes and neat pads. But your sound volumes need to be adjusted, so that everything is more pleasing to the ear.

Keep it up!

Its nice to listen to other peoples ice cap remixes, I have composed and remixed my own remix both are up in my audio submissions.

itsfoxhall responds:

Cheers dude, I havn't got any tools really for mastering :( but the levels sound right on my system, i'll have to try it through some pc speakers aswell :/

Thanks for the thoughts :)

Neat sound Choices...

I was expecting it to go somewhere. you just had a 1-2-1-2-1-2 verse structure. your sounds are nice but this is a loop not quite a song yet. You can go a lot farther.

Keep it up!

if you need more suggestions or help with this track or any of your music and your committed to going the extra distance just pm me.

Jostone102 responds:

Thanks for your review! I would love to go farther with this eventually. I just need to find time to do so. =D

Thanks for offering your assistance, and I will certainly make use of that if need be.

This was very...

Impressive, interesting chord progressions and really neat use of FX some of the textures are just mind-bendingly professional.

Keep up the awesome work!

p.s. I am interested how you composed this song.

Tokolos responds:

Hey thanks Psy-nigma! The composing was done in Fl mostly, then exported into cool edit so I could see what's going on ( 14inch monitor ftl lol )

Wow . .. .. .. .....

This track has it all.
well written and very well mastered.
I can totally picture this song being used by a DJ in a club. or being used in a videogame.

Heck when I start my radio show again I will use it!

BloodyN00b responds:

Thanks!
I don't even understand how I managed to write all that stuff. Almost everything felt very easy and/or obvious while I was working on it, but now... now it makes no sense to me. Lol, I don't even like this kind of music :D
I'm certain that I wouldn't have been able to make this without your help though.
Without your help (and possibly God's), I would most probably have had serious motivational problems :)

Anyway, it would be an honour to hear this being used in your radio show =)
Now, all I need to do is come up with 9 additional tracks like this and release an album. Then, world domination will be imminent.

Cool Track

Cool Water like synth. Fits the mood of the song very well. the song progresses well with using some minimalistic techniques focusing on individual sounds and controlling their behavior. The bass is raunchy too and the reverb you used helps tie all the sounds in the song to compliment eachother.

Keep It Up!

Everlasting-Elements responds:

Thanks for the review, man.
I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Its off to a good start

once you clearer up a little of the distortion and sound levels it can sound nasty. the main synth sounds awesome and the drums are falling into a good beat. they need light steady taps or bass line to smooth them out and sound more agressive.

Keep it up!

BlackVen0m responds:

Thanks for the advice. I'll see what I can do with the drum loop I made and ad some more snare and hat hits in there.

Nice Job!

The intro build was perfect, and the rest of the song sounds great!

Keep it up!

MrAw3s0me responds:

thx alot :DD packing me up !

Neat song

mastering is needed and then you have a good song here. the blippy arpegiated sound needs to be turned down a little after a while. the bass a little strnger. the chords should sound a little stronger. just get the equo out and fix it up.

Zakueast responds:

Well it is only a sample, but thanks for the review! I understand some of the technical things need to be tuned right, but this was a fairly quick thing. In truth, most all of my full length techno songs are 7 minutes or longer. So I would take into consideration of all the crescendos and decrescendos, dynamic changes, and other various things. Oh as for the bass, I'm still tinkering around with my software to find the kind of bass I really want. I know the bass I used for the sample is weak, but there wasn't much I felt like doing for that at the time I did this.

Nice work!

nice to hear some live recordings on NG.

just starting to learn how to play live with my bass now. Its so hard to play with other people.

good work!

slackmatic responds:

Thanks for the review. Playing live with people deffinetly takes some getting used to . Once you get in a groove with your band though, well nothing beats it in my opinion. Thanks for the review.

Not hip hop...

but that is fine,
neat concepts you had in the song with more mastering in sound and learning how to use some of the powerful vsts you chose could make this song epic and cool.

enjoy!

Bump-Da-Beet responds:

thx
